Cutting a pizza

How can I cut a circular object like a pizza or quiche into three equal pieces by hand?

The angles at the centre where the cuts meet should each measure 120 degrees, so cut from the edge in towards the centre for Cut 1. Imagine a right angle to that first line, so that would be 90 degrees...ie you need another 30 degrees to reach 120, so gauge where one third of another 90 degrees would be and make Cut 2 along that line. Cut 3 will just be halfway between the two already made.

Or try cutting it into 6 and having 2 pieces per person.

you cant cut a pizza or quiche by hand, its too soft, id advise using a knife :p

Find the diameter of the circle, divide by 2 (or fold in half) to get the radius. From any point on the circumference, step out the radius - it should take 6 steps. Cut from every other mark on the circumference to the centre. Precision - no guesswork or estimation required!

Get a big Mercedes badge and use it as a template. Or just imagine one when you are cutting the pizza.

I tend to use a protractor as there are squabbles if I don't.

Either measure the angle in the middle using a protractor or measure the circumference and divide it that way.

Imagine the pizza is a clock face and cut at 12, 4 and 8

Ask for it to be cut into 3 pieces when you call to order it!
Remember to ask for 3 equal sized pieces, pizza shops have a strange sense of humour!

I suppose it would be easier to cut it into 4 pieces, but usually I can only manage to eat three slices, I can't manage four!
