What goes well with cous cous?
In an effort to be healthy, I bought a pack of cous cous, but now I don't know what to do with it as I've never tried it before. Is there anything it works especially well with? And anything it doesn't? Someone here's already asked what you can mix with it, but I want to know what to serve with it on the same plate.
Many thanks!

Meanwhile, just prepare the couscous according to the instructions on the packet (probably just add boiling water and let it stand). Nice when served up with a warmed up naan bread or tortilla.

Use cous cous to replace rice, or potato. Nice as a base for simple fresh dish, like fish, lamb, poultry. Carries other flavours really well, so add spices and plenty of seasoning. Also works as a base for salads.

I have tried this and it's lovely.

We have it at least once a week purple-eth. This is the favourite mixture. : I serve this with Chicken breasts or boneless Pork chops.
8-10oz couscous, 2oz pine nuts, toasted, 8 ready to eat apricots snipped, red pepper roasted de-skinned and sliced in strips, grated lemon and juice. Use a couple of Knorr chicken stock cubes instead of water if liked. Lots of chopped Parsley to garnish.
