Can anybody recommend software for recording my favourite recipes. I've tried putting them on Word but it looks a bit basic.

Thanks

Is it that you want to have them nicely presented, or do you want them in some sort of database?

If it's the former, then you can achieve some pretty spectacular results with word. It's just a matter of effective graphic design and taking some time out to explore really get to know the package..

If you want to database them so that you can retrieve them quickly, then Access would be time consuming to set up, but effective. You'd have to have fields for all the ingredients, plus fields for all the various categories you'd need. As with any database, planning is crucial.
Couple of software progs avilable. One free one to look at is: http://www.mediaweb.connectfree.co.uk/softcuis.html or have a trawl through some of the options at the dmoz site: http://dmoz.org/Home/Cooking/Recipe_Management/
You could try putting them in Microsoft Works if you have that. They already have some sheets for you to fill in. They look pretty good.
