Does anyone remember a lolly from the 60/70s....

....ice cream on a stick, covered (possibly) in soft, chopped nuts and maybe a chewy toffee centre.

I thank you.

Thanks Ethel, but isn't that a Feast ??

This one wasn't much to look at. I'm sure it was covered in something like chopped hazelnuts.

Lyons have a great retro website for this kind of thing by the way...

There use to have one a bit like this that came in strawberry or toffee flavour, called a "Brunch" I think?
Toffee Crumbles?....
Question Author
Sorry people, it's not a Brunch or a Toffee Crumble.

My sis has come up with this little teaser and she now seems to think it was made of an ice cream base on a stick, then a layer of chewy toffee, covered with those chopped nuts.

It must have been a Walls product, as there is nothing on that Lyons Maid website, and that goes back to 1925.

Thanks to all.
1 more try then...

Lord Toffingham?...

mmmm, I want ice cream!!!!
Question Author
Thanks again. I've just looked on the web and a Lord Toffingham was...

...chocolate coated, toffee-flavoured caramel-coloured ice cream, with a soft toffee middle.

Perhaps we were wrong about the toffee bit. All I remember is the outer coating of nuts.

Doh !!!
Why cant they make Lord Toffinghams nowadays they were yummy - far better than todays ice creams!
Question Author
Agreed. Yum !

I know they were pretty basic but I loved Tip-Tops, especially lime flavour.
I agree Lord Toffinghams were always my favourite!!
