There's fresh milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. Evaporated milk has half the water removed by a heating process that sterilises the milk in the can. Carnation Milk is an example.
In the UK, condensed milk is properly called 'sweetened condensed milk'. Here, half the water is evaporated and sugars or syrups are added to make up the bulk and act as a preservative. Found under the Nestle label, foe example.
In the US, the term 'condensed milk' is often used to describe 'evaporated milk' which adds to the confusion.
In all cases, fresh milk is better for you.
