All ages welcome... I liked the hot jawbreakers, beer bottles, milk bottles and I loved Fab and Zap ice lollies... which somehow look much smaller! X

Paint Lollies - Red, Green and Blue in that Order [edited by ABED].
Thanks Metz. I thought it was,but couldn't find a reference in dictionary. Wouldn't care, but, the factory where it was made was part of my playing area when I was a kid. Least the Bolton one was
I loved fruit pastilles - my gran called them jube jubes and I loved the moon dust which i totally different from the sparkling dust the kids get now as I have tried it and it doesn't explode in your mouth the same way - ypu could hear sonmeone eating it from across the room before

I loved opal fruits and cola cubes and sweet peanuts, soor plooms and tootie fruties
forgot I absolutely adored the sherbety col bottles that sooked your cheeks right in
I used to love Arrow bars. they were a long, flat wangy piece of confectionery that could stick your jaw together as you chomped through it. They did flavours like strawberry and cola but my fave was fruit salad.

There's a great website with lots of sweets of yesteryear. My credit card doesn't know what's hit it.

Used to love spacedust but then Steven Skier got knocked off his bike by a car while he was on his way to my house to bring me some, and I haven't been able to touch it since because of the guilt.
My favourite sweets were chewy ones, as in "Chewy Fruits" and "Chewy Mints" but by far my ultimate favourite were the "Chewy Cinnamon" variety. Mmm they were really hot, especially when you had 3 or 4 in your mouth at once lol.

They were disc shaped with a chewy middle covered with a crispy shell and sold in my local newsagent / sweety shop by the quarter from a big (well it looked big at the time) sweety jar. None of this 100grams rubbish then you know!

I used to love getting my wee paper poke with the sweeties rattling around inside and then making my jaws ache by putting too many in my mouth at once. Which in itself wasn't a problem until you met someone who spoke to you. =-O

Not very dignified!
those chocolate things that where like minstrels but some where white with milk chocolate inside and other where visa-versa.... infact i think thats what ther where called??
I WANT SOME!!
xx
I loved Acid drops as my all-time favourite and I loved toffos - the flavored ones and plain ones.

aged 3 I went to shop with my mumand asked for manskichews - they didn't have a clue what i wanted so got me to pick it out and I lifted up a packet of toffos. on the way back home we met my neighbour who is same age as me qwith his mum and he said you're ucky you've got manskichews - both mothers laughed and later that day while watching tv I called my mum into lounge. there was an advert for TOFFOS on and I said look MANSKICHEWS an the guy with the cowboy hat and boots and lassoo with the fake Texan accent said "TOFFOS WHEN A MAN'S OTTA CHEW, A MAN'S GOTTA CHEW" - LOL
Lees macaroon bars
Gobstoppers
Cremola foam (does that count?
Spearmint bars... about 10cm long and cost 5p. They weren't around long though... mm mnm!
