Puffa Puffa Rice.
6 Answers
I'm desperate to know the reason why Kellogs stopped this particular cereal. I've been wanting to know for years. I've asked them but they won't tell me. It seems extraordinary as it was such a good cereal. Why keep the other classics and drop this one? I was very upset as a child when it disappeared and have never quite got over it. Can anyone shed any light on this mystery? Also does anyone know how to make it ?

It was SOOOO much nicer than Rice Krispies.
HOWEVER....
My eight year old boy got a packet of little mini choc bars called "Kinder Country", which have puffa puffa rice inside in them!!!! And I ate the whole box of them on him!!!!!
He wasn't too happy with him.
So, there folks, is at least ONE way you can still have that taste & texture of puffa puffa rice again. Brings you WAYYYYYY back!!!
Cheers,
Hugh.

The reason could well be the same one as to why many of our glorious childhood snacks disappeared from the shelves, sometimes to re-emerge years later in some second rate form....different texture flavour etc and WHY?
Because of loads of e numbers and additives that got banned! Damm those government agencies!
I want my Puffa Puffa rice....let me smoke, let me drink, let me take the risks with this dangerous food stuff....While were at it I want my Roast beef Monster Munch back to how they were....Far denser and less airy...sort the flavour out too!
ahem....Just my tuppence worth.....

I recently wrote to Kellogg's asking if they would ever bring it back and this is what they said:
Thank you for your inquiry about where to buy Kellogg's® Puffa Puffa Rice.
We’re sorry to disappoint you but it looks like that this product is no longer stocked in the major supermarkets and is more than likely set to be discontinued.
Further supplies may become available for a limited time in independent shops or discounter stores but at present we don’t have any further information as to where it might be available to buy.
Thanks again for contacting Kellogg’s.
Don't think it's coming back, gutted! :(
