Is it absolutely necessary to have a smoothie maker or will a liquidiser do the same job???

A liquidiser will do exactly the same job.. My sister bought me a smoothie maker and it's still in the box.I use my liquidiser ...It's just that with the smoothie maker you get the little tap on the side - thats all the difference there is..

FANTASTIC thanks for your prompt answer. I was at Ragdale Hall last week and got used to a smoothie a day !!!!
