Lavendar flowers

Anybody know where i can buy lavendar flowers for use in cooking or do i have to wait for them to come in season, or do i rob grannys pot pourri? Never used them before so not sure what to look out for or where to look. Many thanks in advance

First, don't use lavender flowers from florists or garden centres, nor your granny's pot pourri. These may well contain pesticides that are definitely not for human consumption.
Instead, try somewhere like here.

Do remember to use tiny amounts to start with, as even a small amount will provide a very powerful flavour.

Thanks for that - i have ordered them already - and the cookery book. Didn't think grannys would taste too good - probably contain a fair bit of dust too
