Pork chops
9 Answers
does anyone have a nice recipe for pork chops, I am cooking for four so something that involved putting them in the oven or slow cooker would be good, less hassle for me. The chops aren't to big or thick so I will be using 8 of them, any ideas?
many thanks

You can get seasoning specifically for pork which does help, but I think that the accompaniments make the meal.
Try roasting new potatoes with baking apples, onions and paprika, macaroni cheese and salad/veg.
Whole meal in 30 mins!

warpig, what were you thinking?! Guests? for 10 days?! I am pushing people out of the door after 10 mins!
Haha, good luck. I prefer to grill, but my partner makes delicious chops in the oven: just pops them on a tray, seasons with salt, pepper and BBQ seasoning (most supermarkets will have this) and roasts for an hour slowly. You can also place some peppers, red onion/shallots, tomatoes, parsnips, courgette etc around the meat so they can roast in the juices. Yum!

LOL leelapops, they are mrwarpigs parents, he booked them over on a one way flight, aaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhh! They are lovely really, but as a good friend of mine said, guests are like fish, after a couple of days they start to stink!
Roast vegetables, thats a great idea, too, wonder what would happen if i plonked (new culinary term) everything in the slow cooker along with some seasoning, veggies and all?

I seal mine quickly in a dry frying pan then put in slow cooker with sliced cooking apple , a chicken stock cube and a small can of cider plus seaoning to taste(I use very little salt some black pepper sage and a sprig or two of thyme) about half an hour before you are ready to serve thicken the sauce with cornflower(mix it with a little water or stock first)and let it heat up again to thicken nicely always a popular dinner party recipe this one.
