America's no'1 popcorn

I buy this absolutely delicious popcorn called ACT II butter light! It has hte phrase and I quote 'America's no' 1 popcorn' Are they aloud to state this? Has there ever actually been a survey on the sales of pocorn in america? Surely they can only state such things if it is 100% true!! Is there anyone out there who has lived in America who can shed some light on this for me?
I sound like the kind of person who needs to get out more!!

Taliesin238 - Act II isn't really the number one popcorn here in the USA - I am going to venture a guess that because it is cheaper than most of them and is also sold in Wal-mart which are EVERYWHERE here - they MAY and I am not at all sure about that - sell more than the other brands.

I think some of my families supermarket favorites (not the gourmet brands) are:
Orville Redenbacher
Jiffy Pop
Pop Secret
