Medically speaking, lamb, Cauliflower and pears have something in common and are used by doctors. What for and what do they have in commom?

something to do with ears?
Don't know about cauliflower, but lamb and pears are apparently the things that fewest people react to. (Not allergy exactly, but reaction in in the way that some foods can stir up arthritis symptoms.) The way I've come across them being used is that the patient stays on just lamb and pears for a week if memory serves me correctly, then gradually different foods are introduced to see if they stir up their symptoms.
