It's true, but most rational people wouldn't think the CEO of a multinational empire eats very often at places such as McDonald's...even though that's the very multinational he controls!

The CEO at Barclaycard recently claimed that he rarely used his card for credit deals and Mr Ratner, of jewellery fame, admitted some years ago that their stock was largely carp! It will be business as usual, I'm sure.

Not as hard to explain as Jim Fixx, the inventor of jogging, dying of a heart attack at the age of 52...
And Dr. Atkins dying when he was clinically obese at 18st 6lb.
quizzie?????? ratners jewellery is mostly carp, related to the goldfish? learn something everyday.
and the bloke who invented jogging dying while out jogging (well not invented jogging, christened it maybe)
Indie, that clinical obesity appears to have been fluid retention caused by heart failure
Treacle! Where on earth have you been all this time? I've been wondering where you'd got to.

The mis-spelling was deliberate, as I was convinced I'd not be allowed to use the word Ratner himself actually used. My alternative has been used before - by others as well as me - as an acceptable substitute.

It's good to see you back, unless you've always been around on the categories I just don't visit here.

Fluid retention??? retaining chips more like.
it was an unusually prolonged absence quizzie, i think i only do same categories as you, pleased to see so many familiar faces :-)
sorry kit, didnt mean to repeat your answer, was scanning not reading, socks pulled up now
Eh? Wot? Hadn't noticed, treacle, too busy cogitating on mental picture of all Ratner's stuff being carp...
Definitely a fishy business, I'd say!
I very much doubt the ceo of mcd's ate the food there. He would know whats in it and nobody would eat it knowing whats in it!
Lots of people wouldn't eat chocolate if they new what was in it. The link between diet and heart disease is extremely complex. It's not just about avoiding the 'wrong' foods but also about eating those rich in the 'right' chemicals.
