Does anyone here remember any old supermarkets that now don't exist? Such as Key Markets? Or Victor value? I'm sure there were many more! In the 60s and 70s how did they differ from today, other than the pricing gun?

...I remember when kwick save first opened it looked more like a cash and carry with cheap goods just stacked on pallets straight off the lorry....the girls on the checkouts got a really good wage as nothing in the store was individualy labled, and back then there were no scanning tills so they had to learn all the prices!.....each friday night they got given a list of prices to learn for monday promotions/price changes...

...plus no one did the Buy one get one free.... or 3 for a �1 etc......
