Why does my salt keep clumping?

keep a few grains of dry rice in with the salt and it will keep the salt dry, I have always done that, it really works
Its from the moisture. If you use a salt shaker, put some grains of rice in it.
The cause is probably steam or damp.
Try keeping your salt somewhere dry.
Put a few grains of rice in your salt cellar. They'll absorb any moisture and won't clog up the holes. Done!!
because it is somehow getting damp, or is stored in a damp atmosphere. As weeal has suggested, a few grains of rice are said to combat this very common problem.. good luck.
if you shake it onto something steaming like a pan of water or something the steam gets right in there.

Does fried rice work okay? I'll pluck a few from the next chinese takeaway I get.
No Randy don't use fried rice - use a couple of grains of dry uncooked rice.
Do you keep your salt in the cupboard above the kettle by any chance? If so, the moisture from the steam from the boiling kettle could cause your salt to be damp.
