So what's your fave biccie to dunk? or even, just to eat without dunking? (Jamie...thanks!) SteveD..post that site ref?
I'm a big digestive fan. Also like Fruit shortcake, and Ringtons sultana cookies.
M & S ginger snaps every time. You can dunk them for ages, they are just the right consistency and the perfect balance of sweetness and ginger. But then I am probably biased as they basically kept me alive when I was pregnant!
was going to say ginger nuts straight off. nice to see lots of people with good taste. also though, jestives, the digestives with a caramel layer. mmmmmmmm... have been known to eat whole packets. jaffa cakes too, but are they a biscuit, or a cake?
Oh I love nicecupofteaandasitdown.com, its a work of genius. My fave biscuits are probably gingera s well and I have just discovered Ainsley Harriot choc covered ginger ones...mmmmm.
in Scotalnd you can get Borders biscuits (maybe down south too??) and they do a dark chocolate covered ginger crunch. Really ginger and delicious - worth searching for if you're a ginger fan. Kags...did the ginger stop you from having morning sickness or keep it at bay a little?? Gross out point....my great uncle used to butter his gingernuts THEN dunk them in his tea. Mhmmmm oily tea....yeuch!!
hiya jills - I had all day every day sickness, and the only thing I could face eating was M & S gingers! you'd think I wouldn't want them any more, but I can still eat a whole packet in one go with a nice hot cuppa. I must admit chocolate HobNobs are good too, or cadburys fingers.
I did a survey of this where i work (slow day) and the resounding answer was milk chocolate hob nobs (my personal faves along with jaff cakes). Also successful were custard creams, bourbons and horrid garibaldi biscuits. mmmm goin off to make tea now...
Mc Vities digestives. Soooo moreish, but if you dunk too many in your tea, you're left with half a cup of cold tea and that yucky stuff in the bottom of your cup. Still well worth it though!
cadbury's milk choccy fingers in tea... bite off each end then suck some tea through it til the finger's all melty and about to collapse then suck it up! mmmmmmm...
oooh biscuits...am doing Atkins at the moment so they are definitely not on my list until my birthday in August. Have you seen the new M and S barbecue biscuits, they are two chocolate chip cookies, sandwiched together with more chocolate and mini marshmallows. You heat then in their foil tray on the barbie or in the oven...got to go for a cold shower and a lie down...
