Does anyone out there still see fresh strawberries for sale?
i was wondering if there was some artificial environment they have been growing in to produce late fruits?

They're empty here in w .mids. at mo, but I wouldn't have thought they were currnetly growing anywhere in UK. I'd guess if you're seeing fresh strawberries (they were def in supermarket at Christmas, but I can't say I've been looking since) then they're flown in from abroad.
I saw fresh strawberries the other day in Tesco from Spain. They would probably not taste of much this time of year and certainly not having been brought all that way. I think strawberries are one of those things that should be eaten in season and sourced as locally as possible.
That way they are that much more of a treat.
