Supermarket Ready Made Indian meals
38 Answers
Hi all,
I really love indian food and you cant beat the real thing from the restaurant can you,
but,
for a quick fix, does anyone recommend any of the Indian ready made meals you can get at the supermarket?
I fancy either a nice spicey chicken dish or a vegetable dish, so if anyone knows of any nice tasty ones i could try please let me know!
Thanks :o)

They all seem to have that awful plasticky taste.
Last week, though, my husband came home with a selection from marks and spencer. They weren't exactly restaurant quality, but were very nice - about the best I'd say.
The chicken tikka masala was really tasty.
My husband's solution is to order double at the takeaway and then freeze one in two halves! He then has that with shop bought nan and home made rice.

i will have to take a trip to m&s then crisgal and see what theyve got on offer.
ive tried a small few from the supermarkets, but they never seem to hit the spot, and i know what you mean about the plasticky taste! lol ..
the odd time when i order a takeaway from the restaurant i hardly ever manage to eat the whole meal, so i plate it up and cover it in clingfilm and pop it into the fridge for the next day. its never quite as nice the day after cus i think i heat it up for too long in the microwave.

Oh - sorry hun. Go onto sports bank - sign in with your AB stuff. Think you can just send a personal message to who you like once you're there. Oh heavens - I'v forgotten what to do myself now!!! Once you're in, I can look around and send you a friendship invitation, or vice versa. Then once either of us's answered the other, if you send me an email addy, I can pass you the recipe on. Honestly, it's well worth buying the stuff and making your own proper curry. I was shown how to do it by a friend who owns a restaurant, and if i can do it - so could you! Can someone please help Loo to get onto SP? Thanks - x
No - still here hun, but on other threads. I can't remember what i did originally - but if you click onto other peoples' profiles, you can see who they're in contact with (oh dear - this might be all wrong!). Click onto whoever, and then i believe that allows you to send a personal message! Oh help!! Lol!
