How do you make the perfect chip butty?

A couple of girls I work with told me that they have never had a 'piece in chips' or a 'roll in chips'!

I thought that everyone loves a chip butty.

So whats the perfect chip butty?

Two slices of plain bread, butter and tomato sauce or a morning roll chips and gravy....yum

know what else is nice, deep fried jam butties (must be a scottish thing) wee hot parcels of puffy pieces n jam dipped in batter - yum my dad used to make them when I was wee

Same here. I feel so hungry and had nothing planned for tonight, so chip butties for us..
