Brawn - what shall I do with it?

How do you eat this? I bought some at the supermarket and don't know how to have it apart from in a sandwich.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It's an aquired taste really .Round here we call it pork cheese and my butcher makes his own and it's very tasty You can slice it and have it with salad and new potatoes ..lovely on a bit of fresh crusty bread with a good shake of pepper and some mayo . Or in thin bread with tomatoes ..Nice cut into chunks in a warm potato salad too.
used to have it at my grandparents as a child - didnt know you could still get it! we used to have a 'lump' of it on a plate with lots of salt, old fashioned mustard made from colemans mustard powder and milk mixed up and dry bread its making my mouth water thinking about it! dont think it would fit in with todays healthy eating somehow!
