just got an ice cream with my sis from an ice cream man -van, he comes to our estate everyday at this time. im 27 and my sis 24, u just cant grow out of it can you? lol we're a right kiddo, n the ice creams 99 in a cone is massive!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have recently started having an ice cream van and the first time i went out, i got stuck behind a load of kids who hummed and hawed about what to get. They only had 30p each. When it was finally my turn i wasn't much better. Hubbie wanted a cone with rasberry but i spotted a slush machine so i got a blue one. Then there was the 10p mixes. Spent a fortune but we had a good night eating all the rubbish i bought and watching the goonies on dvd.

I remember buying witches hats from the ice cream man, an ice cream with a rocket lolly stuck upside down in the ice cream. mmmmmmmmmm! Oh and oysters, oyster shaped wafer filled with gooey marshmallow and covered in chocolate and coconut, filled with ice cream. I have to find an ice cream man now. lol

Long befofe decimal currency, we had pounds (L) shillings (S) and pennies (D) so a six d cornet was just the price ( six pennies).

In todays money, 2.5 pence.

I haven't bought an ice cream from a van since then....
