Milky Way

Does anyone remember what a REAL Milky Way tasted like before they fiddled around with the recipe?
Was it the same stuff they use on the bottom layer of Mars Bars?

They used to be much more brown in colour and, as smugbabe suggests, alot more like the bottom of a mars bar. not sure if they were the same, but similar. I've stopped eating them since they changed (which was years ago now), they just aren't the same!
Milky ways just aren't the same now. They had that lovely brown whipped centre but now it just tastes too sweet and sickly. I just won't buy them now because they taste vile. Kit kats are the same. I remember how they used to taste when made by Rowntrees Mackintosh but now that they are made by Nestle they taste awful. Far too sweet and milky tasting. Why do manufacturers have to take tried and tested products and mess around with the recipe ? Is it to give it their unique taste ? It quite clearly doesn't work.
