How much chocolate is eaten because i imagine it is quite a lot and a lot of money is probably made

As a starting point, Cadbury spend about �20 million a year on corrugated boxes alone. Boxes cost (very) roughly 10p each, so that makes roughly 200 million boxes, which contain an average of perhaps 24 bars each, which is 4.8 billion pieces of chocolate, at say 30 - 40p a piece, which makes roughly �1.6 billion.
And that's just Cadburys.
