i always put little gem lettuce, sliced cucumber, red or orange or yellow pepper sliced up, and black grapes halved, into a big bowl. we then all add our own croutons or salad bits when it's on our plate. i was just wondering what everyone else puts in their salad? i really hate boring salads.

If I was doing a mixed salad I would add apples and some walnuts. Like a healthy Waldorf really.

Also very finely chopped spring onions are nice.

Raw spinach leaves go well with a non-fruity salad.

I have lots of stuff in mine. Small bag of salad leaves with, radishes, cucumber, tomato, spring onion, olives, capers, tuna. I usually do a lemon and olive oil dressing but I've recently discovered low fat caeser dressing.
I love avocado and spinach in my salads.

I love olives too and the dressing has to be homemade.

I do not like the bottled dressings.
My salads consist of:-

little gem lettuce
red & yellow peppers
cucumber
tomato
celery
spring onions
button mushrooms (sliced)
chick peas (cooked) or some other pulse for protein
bean or alfalfa sprouts (depending on what I've grown)
cooked vegetables (eg okra, sweetcorn, peas, beetroot)

I have separate dishes for potato salad (new potatoes, mayo, spring onions and mayo) and tabouleh (bulgar wheat, parsley, onion, french dressing).

after having my legs removed i cant really cook now
do you use your legs to cook with?
slugs lc

is to kind a word for you

im legless too on ?/
i wouldnt eat my own legs cazzz!
I was referring to them as some type of hand/preparation tool
What about apple, dates and cheese all cut up small (if you buy the ready chopped dates with sugar on it is even nicer). Need to eat it quickly before the apples go brown though. Yummy!!
Or just dip your apples in lemon juice and they will remain brown free!!!
When in season, I add a couple of thinly sliced strawberries for colour and taste..
