Supermarkets sell standard white sugar which does not say it is 'Cane' sugar (from sugar cane plant). I find this sugar diorhetic (moves bowels)!

1. What is it made of?

It is made from Sugar Beet usually in this Country....

Yes terambulan, I find myself more friendly with the loo when I've eaten sugar too.

I figured it was because I rarely eat sweet thins, or add sugar to anything, so when I do, my body reacts to it in that way.

The packets sometimes have ( I think it is Silver Spoon as Tate and Lyle usually says cane sugar) a description of where it comes from and how it is made from Beet ,saying how good it is on Carbon Footprint /Food Miles etc etc because it is "Local Uk " rather than from abroad .
