Im 25 and have not eaten chocolate for over ten years now as the taste of it makes me feel sick, before 15 years old I would eat it, what has made me find the taste so sickly over the last 10 years. Is there something in the chocolate?

Oh Donkey, how I wish I had the same problem! I don't have an answer to your question though - sorry.
Hmm... good question How much did u used to have... if it was LOADS then you'll get tired of it most likely. Me with TEA, I used to drink tea like all the time... I was like the worlds greatest for tea drinking... One day I had too much I had my tea and I just randomly felt a bad taste and it became horrible. I haven't touched tea now for about 3 years.
It's probably just because your tastes have changed. I stopped taking sugar in tea 2 years ago and now if I taste sweet tea I almost gag. The same thing happens if you cut down on salt - you eat something you used to eat quite happily and it's like seawater. I expect you've just got so accustomed to more savoury things that it tastes vile.
I used to eat loads of chocolate but now I only like dark bitter chocolate (with a high cocoa content). The milk chocolate you get in the UK on all the famous brand choccie bars can only loosely be termed chocolate at all - more like candy - it's way too sweet and greasy compared to proper chocolate. Or maybe I'm just getting old...
I'm with you Elfin - I can't stand the mainstream chocolate bars, they're too fatty and sweet. Donkey, maybe an allergy? Allergies can pop up quite suddenly, and if you had a sudden switch in what tastes good to you, maybe your body is telling you something.
Elfin, I agree, the dark, bitter chocolate is the only one I really like, especially with fruit and nuts in!
as we age our taste buds change, specifically the ones concerned with the sweet taste, we all to some extent "go off" sweet tasting things as we get older (amount varies), it is for this reason that our favourite chocs start out as milky bars and evolve to bounville.
