whipping or double cream!!!
I would say if you want to pour the cream then I would use single. I have this argument everytime with my mum, when she gets double cream, but then doesn't whip it - to me it defeats the point of having double cream. I personally think that double and whipping cream should always be whipped.
clotted
LOL @ Jayne....
you can't pour clotted cream J.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear...
back to domestic science lessons Jayne....

;-)
Double cream for sure.

Delia has the answer:

Double cream is also rich and luscious served just as it is, chilled, as a thick pouring cream.

Thanks all
When I used to work in a restaurant they always used to buy whipping cream for the desserts to pour over, without whipping, always confused me!

Double it is then!
Depends on the dessert.

For instance if i was eating strawberries i would choose single.

If i was eating Chocolate Fudge Cake it would be double.

Your question is pretty vague, but i like double the best and i use the remainder for a whiskey coffee.

BRAP.
Chantilly cream is the one!! (double cream whipped very softly with icing sugar and vanilla...yum!!)
Tescos do a really thick cream, but not chantilly and you have to scoop it out and plonk on your pudding.
