Next May my wife and I are going with SAGA on the above trip.

We shall be spending 3 days in Zambia, 7 days in Botswana and a few hours at Johannesburg airport.

All breakfasts and evening meals are included so our expenditure will only be for the odd lunch, quite a few drinks, souveniers etc.

I am after suggestions as to what currency to take - it has been suggested that Credit Cards and American dollars would suffice.

Would appreciate any advice on currency and any other tips from people who have done this or any other similar trip.
