An allergic reaction occurs when someones body produces histamines in response to a certain substance. Alcohol is different; it is a TOXIN / POISON. However, because alcohol has been consumed in the UK since Roman times (at least), this race (and some others) have an inheritted tolerance to small amounts. Some individuals choose to increase the tolerance to alcohol that they are born with, by increasing their alcohol consumption. Certain races will experience severe problems after only drinking very little. But sufficient alcohol can kill anyone and has done so on numerous occasions (either slowly or quickly).
