For example you couldn't buy the french veal that has been kept at their minimum farming standards, it is considered too cruel to be imported. All meat sold in this country is slaughtered humanely and artificial growth inducing hormones/chemicals are not allowed.
But if you are worried read the laws or pay more for your meat, I buy all mine from the local butcher, better meat, better taste and better life. Or go veggie, but don't believe the overly zealous propaganda.
