Dear all.

Having lived in London and now living in Sunny Harrogate, I have found indian spices hard to come by. As I am relaxing this weekend, I thought Id wonder to bradford to pick up some stuff.

I was wondering does bradford have an 'indian street' such as Broad Street or Green Street?

Thanks in Advance.

hey supa

how you adapting in Harrogate? very posh town. I went to college there, also used to go out in Harrogate.

im not sure if Bradford have a Broad or Green street probably do, why dont you google map it? but Bradford are dominated with Asian people. They have a well known curry restuarant-(muntaz) very lovely! yummmm
So very gracious of you!!!
i used to live in Bradford, (when i was very young). alot of Chinese ppl live in Bradford aswell. =)
Don't know of a particular street, The same road as Mumtaz has lots of local shops selling good herbs/spices. and there's a very fair supermarket, just off Shearbridge road (home of Bombay Stores, well worth a look, but more for fabrics etc) If you drive/walk to the left as you face Bombay Stores, its just off the end of there. Omar Khans is a good curry house too, as is the Karachi of Neal St.(if a little basic) You are spoilt for choice depending on your preferences. Enjoy
Up Manningham lLane past the registry office, and carry on until you come to Lumb Lane. This is a big Asian area and they do have their supermarkets there.
Not far from the football ground, if that's any help.

Thanks guys! I shall be havig a spicy weekend!

Whitebear- Harrogate is cool, but I havent had a chance to explore. All my work colleagues live far away and as they are the only people I know, I am finding it hard to make friends! Not much you can do on ya own. Cant wait til my ol' mates from back home come an visit me!

Why not cook a cuury and invite your neighbours round. Good food is always better with good company and you'd get to know people who could show you how good the area is.
