I got the above ham to try for my sandwiches for work but now that I've opened the pack I can't work out is it ok to bung straight onto the bread or do I need to cook it a bit like bacon first. Does anyone know about this stuff?

Have you tried Lidl's Minced Beef & Onion pies? Very tasty,,very very tasty....
What does it taste like --straight out the packet--does raw or is it nice.?

If you like it put in your sandwiches, if not fry it.

"Black Forest ham has a very pronounced flavor and is common in German cuisine. It may be eaten fresh, for example on bread or with fruit, or used as an ingredient in cooked dishes"

It just didn't feel right eating it straight from the pack. I tried a few nibbles but in the end I had to give it a quick fry.
It's fine straight out of the packet. Think of it as a poor man's prosciutto!
