Waitrose, Sainsburys, Morrisons - none of them have even a single bottle of any variety of Branston Pickle.
Does anyone know when manufacture of this essential condiment will resume?

It's probably people panic buying that'* *** stocks. Can't be without Branston for the cold turkey on Boxing Day !!
I like the crunchy bits in Branstons, and I think its is quite sweet enough. If Baxters is even sweeter then I know I'm not going to like it.
Thanks for posting the link, ian.miller. Reading the ingredients it sounds just like the chutneys my Mum used to make from the cooking apples in our garden. Us kids were unappreciative and wanted shop bought stuff.
No Pinotage it's not sweet, I wouldn't touch it if it was.
I've just taken the lid off and had a mighty sniff. Mmm, the smell is a mixture of a fragrant curry with a hint of orange, lemon and ground spices. There are enough lumps to satisfy your palate, but not the disgusting lumps of cauli or parsnip that appeared in lesser chutneys.
It just cries out for cheese, cold meat and just about anything else - so if you'll excuse me.....
Thanks to everyone.
I have good news - I popped into Waitrose this morning and there were three jars of Branston Original Pickle. I bought two (wanted to get all three but thought to leave one for some other sufferer).
When I see Baxters I'll give it a try, but it do think itss going to be too sweet, Cetti, ian.miller says sweeter than Branston and the ingredients imply it is; largest ingredient is Apple (which is sweet), sugar. Raisins are sweet, as are apricots and its got orange juice (?) in it ,also sweet. Sounds mucho sweeto.
