Artificial colours and flavours

i just bought a bottle of pop and the front proudly shows "no artificial colours or flavours", yet the back of it reads like the contents of a chemistry lab. How can they get away with something like that?

sucralose, acesulfame K, potassium sorbate, acacia gum, trisodium citrate

Yummy! Just like mother used to make.

sucralose is artificial, but a sweetener not colour of flavour
same for acesulfame K
potassium sorbate is a preservative

does it taste good?

i much prefer to buy things with sugar rather than "no added sugar" which are all fake sweeteners.

I wonder what used to be in the drinks the pop man used to deliver?

It was Morrisson's raspberry bubblegum pop. A garish pink colour.
I thought I'd try it for a change. It was pretty disgusting.

I remember once getting a bottle of Tesco's traditional Dandelion & Burdock. There was nothing traditional about the ingredients!

hehe true! although I doubt any colour was obtained from a raspberry.
