Marinade??

I am having a mince beef and onion pie tonight with potatoes....i have sweet potato,parsnip and carrots.......can i use anythin to marinade them whilst cooking--im lookin for a change?

You could cook them in vegetable stock rather than water
chop the 3 veg into chunks, toss in a couple of tablespoons of olive (or any cooking) oil, sprinkle with mixed herbs, salt and pepper and roast. about 10 minutes before they're ready, drizzle with a couple of spoons of honey. take about 45-60 minutes.
I suggest the sweet potatoes go in the bin...YUK!!

I find a splash of Worcester sauce and a bit of English mustard stirred into the mince and gravy gives it a helping hand. Hope you enjoy it !!
