I am currently a Kitchen Porter/starter chef at a pub and the chef told me yesterday that as of next week, he is going to start training me as a chef!!! he even said that in a few months when he has finished training me, he will let me chef on my own every Thursday night and Saturday lunch, I'm 16 and they trust me enough to leave me cook alone in the kitchen!!! :-) What the rest of you been up to?

im still doing the motor vehicle engineering and intend to pursue mechanics as my career but in the meantime i have a good well paid job (for my age) and will have cooking experience so if needs be in the future, i could use it as back up if mechanics goes wrong.

Errr, i never used to but since i started working in the pub in September, i have become more interested in it and it makes sense as well because my dad is in catering.
