There's probably a ruling straight from Brussels that we can't sell little green balls in our supermarkets anymore, or they're the wrong green or something daft
Forget gooseberries, does anyone know where I can get fresh Dangleberries from?
Gooseberries will be in the shops when they're in season.

Sorry, my spelling was off there. It's spelt 'winnets'
It depends where you live. I live in the frozen north so mine are later, probably early July. The fruits are forming now and it seems like a normal harvest is due. But the blackcurrants, which were fantastic last year, look even better this year. I picked 22lbs for jam from a few bushes and froze the rest. I use the goosegogs in a pork, fennel and gooseberry strogonoff. I'll post the recipe if you're interested.
