I try and do different meals each night but I have come to realise I eat alot of chicken, whether it be chicken burgers, bbq chicken, chicken chaseur, or chicken in breadcrumbs lol. So anyone got any nice simple meals to share with us all, that arent too expensive and that dont need loads of ingredients? Oh and no cheese

Home made tuna fish cakes - really easy and quite cheap.
Question Author
i just buy fishcakes, now that is easy
Question Author
gravy or baked beans count?
I don't buy much ready made stuff anymore (used to buy loads) - and if I do now I don't like it as much as the home made stuff (and I don't spend loads of time cooking so I have to think of things that are quick but taste nice).

At the weekend I did "Ultimate Fishcakes" which was a recipe I found on the internet. Very easy and very nice. Everyone liked them.

How about a liver and bacon casserole. Very tasty, very easy to make and after 5 minutes in the frying pan, in to a casserole dish and in to the oven. New potatoes and veg of your choice. Enjoyed by all.
kebabs on skewers ? grilled gammon ? fish pie ?
Sorry - boil potatoes and 1 finely chopped onion, drain (when cooked obviously) and mash, add some dried parsley and an egg. Add 3 tins of drained tuna (depends on how many potatoes you use). When cool enough to handle, dust in seasoned flour and lightly shallow fry until golden.

sorry maybe should have added no liver at bottom of post lol My blokes step mum does a lovely fish pie which I think has egg and prawns etc in it, anyone have recipe fr that?
4get, i used to do a fish pie.

i make mine with cheese sauce but you could do white wine sauce with a bith of dill or parsley in.
then throw in whatever fish you want and top with mash.

if you make fishcakes you can always freeze what you dont use for reheating at a later date too

how about beef and guiness pies? i made loads for that party (you liked them) and still have some in freezer lol
Hi Poodicat, I actually cheated in that I didnt make the tartare sauce myself for the Ultimate Fishcakes, I bought it from Tesco! Made this again last night to use up the cod that was too much for Saturday night. Every day Tesco do at least one fish item at half price which helps.
do you like beef 4get?
yes she does, fluff :)
