My mums booked a table at a pub for fathers day. It would be rude if he paid but she wants me to because he's my father! Normally we go out with my brother who pays but he's on holiday.

Knowing her she will pay, but with money from my savings account which she has access to. By the way, I know this is the wrong section but she will have to give me that savings account which is in my name, when i'm 18 wouldn't she? if it was 16, i'd have it by now.

Well speak up then Molly, it's not fair if they take your money to pay when you have already bought a gift. Have you spoken to your mam about this?

excellent thread, everyone chasing their tails again.. ;)
if the account is ion your name go to the bank and aks them for a new book to be sent to you or a cashcard so that you can check the money.
Molly I've had a change of heart, If your terrible parents are bringing you on holiday to France I think the least you can do is pay for a meal.

I haven't got enough money!

We won most of the money for the holiday if you must know. . . . it's only a week self catering. It was something like 75% off voucher, off an already cheap place and time.
You always have an excuse don't you...
Question Author
reasons, not excuses umm
Go and speak to someone in Nationwide and clarify the situation. It depends what sort of an account you've got as to whether you can have access to draw it out. Explain the position to them. See what they say. They are open until midday tomorrow.
Question Author
I don't even know the kind of account it is or any details (apart from mine) of it.
You call it 'reasons' I call it 'excuses'

You'll just have to pay then....

What a hard complicated life you have mollykins. Thank yourself lucky you have a mum and dad still alive, unlike a lot of people your age!
