Last night me and mum decided to ahve chicken fajitas for tea, but some reason dad had put two eggs into a bowl, probably to make yorkshire puds, even though the chicken was already being grilled.

Last night I amde the pastry for a lemon meringue pie, the recipe of which requires eggs to be seperated for the meringue part of it. What's the simplest way of seperating the already opened eggs, the yolks haven't split.

pick the yolk up and put in another bowl
Doesn't get much simpler than that!
Tip it onto a saucer.

Put an egg cup upside down over the yolk.

Tip the egg white into a bowl.

Tah Daaah !!
Cup one of your hands, and with the other hand pour the whole egg into the cupped palm. The white should slop through your fingers. Alternatively, if you've got one of those egg separators, pour the whole egg through that, and the white will fall through the slits and the yolk into the little "cup" bit of the separator. "Simples" as the meerkat would say! If you use your hand, though, make sure it's clean and dry before you start. And try to avoid the yolk splitting and going into the white, as it will be very hard to whisk the whites up after that. Also make sure that your bowl for whipping is clean and dry, too.
"The white should slop through your fingers" ?

Oh, gross !

We haven't got an egg seperator, and i was worried about the yolk breaking.

If its for meringue does it matter if a tiny bit of yolk gets in?
Egg cup method ... !

Guaranteed no bits of yolk.
Suck the white up with a straw.
I think I'm going to heave.
Definitely don't get any yolk in the white if you want to whisk the whites.
