Some porridge oats are sold as Quick cook or Instant. What is the difference in the oats or processing?

The nutritional value of the oats in these products is essentially the same, and they are all wholegrain oats. However, the difference between the varieties of oats occurs during the rolling stage. The thinner they roll the oat flake, the less cooking time it will require. For example, Large Flake Oats are not cut before they are rolled to flatten them.
