I sat opposite someone last night as they gnawed enthusiastically on a rare steak. The look of unbounded joy in her eyes was rather disconcerting. The way her tongue flicked out to catch the blood trickling down her chin put me off my tofu and rice cakes...

I like my steak very well done.
I didn't eat steak at all for years after being put off when I was forced to eat a blue steak once when I was little.
