Yep. Are you going to remind us of the famous 'quote'?
Sadly my enquiries ;ast year suggested it seems to be an urban myth, similar to the one about Captain Pugwash character names. Unless someone knows more....
I quite like some DICK (emery)

Nope factor i was not going to,thinking that a couple on here remind me of them...
No I don't personally but my mum has always told me about a particular episode when Fanny had been making donuts. At the end Johnny said something along the lines of 'good evening' blah blah.. 'and I hope your donuts turn out like Fanny's'!! Makes us laugh everytime :o)
Aw tell me thats not an urban myth!! We've howled laughing at this!!
Yeah, that's the 'quote' I was referring to, lollyone. Unfortunately there are various versions of the story in terms of who said it and on which programme and no video/audio seems to exist to my knowledge. Still, it's a good story.
Yeah, i remember 'em on old B&W telly, she was always having a go at him. My old dad always thought she was a bloke in drag. (looked like one)

They live and breath on here lol...
I believed for years the stories the Craddocks and about the names of Captain Pugwash characters and was rather disappointed when I discovered they were urban myths. To this day i still hope someone will suddenly discover evidence that they were true after all.
Who??? without naming names and getting 7 pages of nothing? Lol
Hey factor, never let the truth get in the way of a good story. [:o)
the Captain Pugwash names weren't exactly a myth, they were invented in a review by Victor Lewis-Smith, a TV critic.
There are loads of Fanny & Johnnie videos on Youtube but I had to provide this one because the series of different ads brings back so many memories for us oldies

Thanks jno. I have a vague recollection of Russ Abbott also doing a sketch based on Captain Pugwash using these names, but that may be my memory playing tricks..
It was my first culinary influence. Fanny - "There are 3 ways of cooking steak, rare, medium and RUINED!"
The donut remark by Johnny is absolutely not an urban myth. I watched that episode, and couldn't believe it when he said it. All-time favourite gaffe!
