Christmas cake...

I know it's still early, but I was wondering if a Christmas cake should be made early? Also, is Delia's a good recipe to follow? TIA

I usually make mine in October. A few years ago a friend of mine gave me a recipe where you dont have to beat the eggs-I use it all the time its so nice and really easy to make!!

Thanks Redhelen, that gives me an excuse to do it now. How often should I put Brandy in it or is just when I make it?
