Potatoes mashed with Dijon mustard, steamed broad beans, and pepper sauce.
Question Author
dont like green beans or mustard or pepper sauce lol. See I was thinking mashed pots, veggies, sweetcorn, but just wondered if anyone had a yummy alternative
Potatoe Dauphinoise and grilled tomatoes? Cauliflower cheese?
if i had leftovers, i'd chop it up, fly with onions, add rice and stock till you had a rissotto then put hard boiled eggs sliced on top and cover with cheese sauce
I'd go with the Dauphinoise (good call) steamed broc and cauli and lots of parsley sauce.
Can't stand parsley sauce - don't you think it smells of perfume?
bread sauce - yum!
Question Author
Shadrak I love cauliflower cheese, used to eat bowls of it when I was little, unfortunately my bloke hates cheese. Had dauphinoise got cheese in?
shove halved new pots/mushrooms/parsnips/broccoli in baking tin, sprinkle over olive oil & brown sugar (to caramalise) and roast in oven.
No, smells of parsley to me!
POTATO not flipping potatoes!
Hi forget - yes, it's got gruyere in it but it doesn't taste 'cheesey'.
Broad beans ain't green beans.
This recipe hasn't got any cheese in it though - http://www.bbc.co.uk/...hinoisepotatoes_90205 (we go through pounds of cheese in this house - the kids will only eat extra mature - even the little ones).
Question Author
tamborine that looks tasty. Would you then have gravy as seems bit dry? And do you have recipe shad?
As a major bonus - if you had the potato stuff and the bacon you could just shove them in the oven and forget about them! (My favourite sort of cooking.)
Question Author
hc are they green?. I dont eat any green beans
I usually do posh chips, (cut into squares) sweetcorn and warmed pineapple (in the oven sprinkled with brown sugar). Or with cauliflower cheese. My mum always used to make pease pudding with the bacon joint. It's a north-east Durham thing.

Tambos roast veg sounds good.
remove the veggies, add tblspoon of flour to sediment in baking tin & stir to paste (with back of spoon) gently heat on hob & add beer or wine to thin.
my food aint posh but after years of cooking I do the easiest possible with least washing.......'cause I'm an idle cow !
