Quinces?

I have a japonica shrub, which has lots of apple type fruit on it. Can anyone tell me if these fruits are quinces. I would like to make quince jelly, but dont want to poison everyone!!!!! Many thanks

according to this they aren't quinces but can be made into jelly anway
