Alfalfa sprouts, they are like miniature versions of mungbean sprouts like you get in a chinese stirfry.

Have never actually seen them on sale ready sprouted but you used to be able to buy the seeds in Holland & Barrett the health food store. If not try another health food store. Then sprout them yourself.

You will need a large clean glass jar into which you put a tablespoon or two of the seeds and wash them with clean water and drain off. Rinse them daily until the shoots have sprouted large enough for use.

P.S. I forgot to mention that when sprouting your own you must keep them in a warm dark place and will take 7-10 days

You can sometimes buy these in Waitrose or in the fridge in your local health food shops.

Otherwise, its very easy to grow your own on kitchen towels or in a glass jar.

It's like eating mouse whiskers, though.
