Best toastie/panini/etc

My husband has just come home with a sandwich press (amongst other electical items!). In order to stop the kids from requesting cheese and ham all the time I was wondering what your favourite toastie/panini fillings are and what sort of bread you like to use. Thanks.

pineapple rings with golden syrup on the cheapest white bread you can get....yum yum...hits the spot when that's what you want!

simple chicken and bacon. Totally delicious!

ciabatta - and with a crab or lobster filling - and some light cheese can be used.

and bacon and brie......with some cherry toms split....

Not keen on pineapple but love golden syrup - probably be nice with apple.

yuk, bednobs, warm tuna is just soooo wrong.
i love cheese and onion on seeded wholemeal sliced bread, spread with salad cream instead of butter.
we had a thousand year old sandwich toaster which we chucked out last year and bought a panini press instead, should have done it years ago, it's great.

any sandwich filling in a jar sherrard, I'm particularly fond of chicken and bacon with mayo, all chopped together.

HI DT - haven't has a proper look at it yet, but the little woman icon puts on more clothes as it gets colder so the kids will think it's funny.

I had a sandwich make a few years ago. I used to do cheese and onion or cheese and tomato. Then I would burn my tongue on either the onion or the tomato!
