baked beans in a screw top container so you use what you want and reseal till next time ...

I suppose they have to cut corners somehow as people will not buy if they are too expensive. If I could go back in time one thing I would bring back would be a tin of beans. I am sure they used to be more tomatoey when I was younger....the other things, if you're interested, would be a Mars bar, Club biscuit (yes they really did have THICK chocolate on them) and a bag of Hula Hoops (with all those yummy additive. Incidentally, you can always store extra beans in tupperware type things. I would think that this new pack would have the temptation of reusing which would probably be unhygenic. Phew...I'm exhausted after that massive post. Off to get Beans on Toast LOL
