I work for a manufacture that supplies vitamins and pills to well known high street shops. I came across out of date ingredients some are up to 2-3 years out of date. These ingredients are still being used in products. Can this not be damaging to peoples health ?

No because I have never been in that situation in which you find yourself. If you need the job to pay bills and generally live, then I think your conscience should take a back seat. If it's more of somthing to get you out of the house, then report them to your local trading standards and the newspapers and TV companies.
probably no more damaging than taking uneeded vitamins and pills
